Dreaming of a White Christmas

This year has been AMAzing!! This Christmas was such an incredible blessing. Jordan and I made our usual trip to Austin to see (part of) my family. We did Christmas with my Mom, Patrick (18), John (24) and his girlfriend, Roxy on Wednesday night. We drove back Thursday--yeah, I know, short trip..but we had to fit it all in SOME how. I'm sad that I didn't get any pictures of us in Austin!! (It is really annoying me at the moment!) We didn't get to see Sam (12) or my Dad..they were camping with Sam's Boy Scout troop until Thursday morning, so, they agreed to come on the 26th to celebrate with Jordan and I in our home (more on that later!)

Shortly before getting home..just as we were entering Fort Worth, it began to SNOW. I don't mean like flurries, or ice..no, SNOWING. It was whirling all around us on the freeway, and it was absolutely beautiful. The snow didn't stop, either.

This was our house on Christmas Eve
A different shot, catching the snowflakes :)
Our annual dinner at Maggiano's after working up an appetite walking Northpark.
The future Mrs. Vineyard and the Matron of Honor.
Thats my hubby and I..we were standing next to the Nutcracker..he insisted on taking a picture next to it..oops, CROP.
The Massey Family- FULL of Rigatoni D.

You can't tell here, but I got a CAMERA! WOO-HOO! This was my last picture taken with my old camera.. awe-- not sad at all!!

AND- this would be my first picture with my NEW camera!! YAY! Brittany was perfect for picture-taking.
Jordan making breakfast..every year (since we've been married..) He has been making French Toast..MMmmM, Cinnamon French Toast, and Bree's Strawberry Mimosas!

It was still SO chilly- with snowy patches everywhere.. Jordan made another one of his fantastic fires!
Me cooking in my kitchen for dinner tonight with my Dad and Sam. Cooking with my new 10 piece Calphalon set. Again, without the make-up. Very lazy these past few days
Another gift..my Immerson Hand Blender. Santa (Jordan!) was SOO good to me this year!
Sam playing with his new pellet gun. The Boy Scout has his Rifle Patch, so Jordan finally broke down and got him one for Christmas this year. HE LOVES IT!

While I prepared ALL this!
and Red Velvet Cake for dessert. My first attempt at it, and it was delish! Excuse the quality of the pictures..still learning, and working my way through the 144 page user manual :)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. I know that I surely was, with friends and family. The blessings continued to overflow and it leaves me speechless as I finish this blog post...
Glory to the New Born King.

2nd Birthdays..The Fort Christmas..AND..

JENNA's
All I have to say is FINALLY. Geez. ;) Adam did good with her pretty circle cut solitaire ROCK! So happy for them, and ready to start planning as the Matron of Honor for the April 24th date. 4 months of planning- it's gonna be a challenge, but it will get done. She wasn't kidding when she said 'I want a short engagement.'

Other events of the weekend..

Saturday was this little girl's 2nd birthday party-- she is an absolute doll. This is Jordan's cousin's girl, Rayn. It was so cute watching her (with her friend's help) opening up all her presents and having fun being a typical two year old. Jordan and I got to socialize with friends and family that came in to celebrate as well, so it was that much more fun!Sunday was the Fort Family Christmas (Jordan's Mom's side of the family) I always look forward to this get-together every year. It is always load of fun catching up with sooooo much family..ooohhh, and the food. Cannot forget that.

This is the house Jordan and I recently bought. PPPPSSSHHHH, ya, right. I WISH. No, this is Lara's house (Jordan's cousin). They so graciously opened up their house to all of us to host this event. I got a cramp in my neck walking up to it for the first time after they moved in (I babysit her kiddos pretty often and when they moved in a couple months ago, I joked when I pulled on their street 'What if they lived in THAT house?!!' and then I pulled up with this address..)

Fort Brothers: Kenneth and George (better known to us as 'Woogie') Woogie is Jordan's grandfather.
Jackson Buis.. Lara's baby boy! Love him and his sweet not-so-little attitude.
My husband and I

My hair is looking rather 'Texas'-ish in this picture. I guess I was going for the BIG this morning. Jordan looking rather HOTT with his facial hair. I really, really wish he didn't have to shave when he goes back to work at the station.
The Massey family..Awe, and the newly engaged JBree and Adam
Loooook at the rock. I proceeded to tell Jordan today (several times..) I wanted to get married.
Again, with the 'Texas' hair.
Adam, Jenna, Big hair, and Sexy (..TeHeHeHe)
Later that night was our Sunday School 'Non-Christmas' Christmas Party. It is more of a worship service rather than a party. We brought a dessert and drank coffee and then did a lead prayer and sang songs. Perfect way to end this weekend. Although I didn't get any pictures, I did take a picture of my dessert I brought. It turned out rather pretty if I do say so myself.
Apricot Almond Torte
Friday marked my last day of internship for the next TWO weeks!!! I don't have to report back until January 4th, 2010! Sweet. This is a MUCH needed break. Can't wait..oh, and VEGAS for New Year's! Countdown to Christmas- 5 day! WOOOO!

A PJ Kind of Day

For the intern Christmas Party we decided it would be fun to have a theme. We tossed around the 'Tacky Sweater' idea, but then finally came up with the Pj Brunch- which proved to be a success. Jessica and I worked very hard to plan it all and sweet Jess and her husband John opened her house up for us to come and fellowship together. I had so much fun with everyone, I truly am blessed with a wonderful group of people to spend this once-in-a-lifetime experience with.

Jessica and I- working hard and prepping before everyone arrived.
So much food!! We had one YUMMY spread
Another shot of the food
Me, Hannah, Jess, and Kristi with her baby girl, Brynn..oh, and not to forget Jess's dog, Prego
Sweet Anna
Loves these girls, too! Ashley, Anna, Hannah, and Ashlyn.
Try saying that 3 times fast!
Jordan was a good sport and wore some pajamas, too. But, his eyes were closed...thanks for that, J. Tehe..
Kristi (and the twins) opening her gift from the interns.. dinner, movie and a gift certificate for FREE babysitting! Brynn and Logan were more interested in the candy!!
Ready for a nap after a busy morning/afternoon
The intern picture-- all of us so cute in our PJ's
But, not to forget Kristi- much better picture, now!!

Just wanted to add these in from the past couple weeks..
This one is after a long day and class, but we are still all smiles!!
All of us after the internship Open House at Village Burger Bar in The West Village. It was so chilly, but the inside was jam-packed with people, so we braved the cold, and with the help of the heater lamps it wasn't so bad.
I cannot believe how far we have come since it all began, and to be around all those people seeking internship and the way they looked at us in admiration for what we have accomplished. I know I probably had those same googley eyes last year when I came to the Open House..

Christmas Party #2 down..
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this time of year!
