Lake {Belton} Weekend

Coming off of this weekend I have to admit.. I'm mildly depressed.  When I say depressed.. I mean the kind of depressed that hits you after a wedding event, or baby shower is over and the hype of activity calms and you are left with your thoughts to remember.  Kind of deep for a Monday, but you all know what I'm talking about.

I went into this weekend with little expectation for it to be super fabulous- more just like any other weekend, actually.  But I found myself to be really sad when it was time to load up the girls and head home.

A weekend full of sun, swim suits, and baby girls was so much fun.  Get ready.  You're about to get a boatload of pictures of my babies and other babies and then more of my babies, again.

Ready?

We arrived on Thursday night to welcoming arms ready to get their hands on one (or two) of my babies.  Friday morning we started the day off right- right into our swim suits after breakfast.

Jolie was content with Aunt Jenna..

While Parks made the rounds from person to person..

Great-grandpa Woogie
 Loving on Poppa
 Cousin Rayn
This is probably my favorite picture from the entire weekend.  Cousin Rayn adores her baby cousin and it is captured so perfectly in the picture.

and... HELLO, Cheeks! She gets that from her momma.  She is definitely a 'Huey' (<< my maiden name)
 Heyyy there blue eyes.
With many attempts to get a picture of the two of them together.. it didn't happen.  But, I got some super sweet individuals.

The massive head bow is exacerbating Jolies 'fridge face'
Again.. I cannot get over her cheeks.

She's storing nuts for the winter.
Busy busy playing with all the 'new' toys.  {Great} Aunt Veeca has a house stocked from when Rayn and Blaine were little.

I squealed when the I caught this girl with such a happy smile on her face.  This smile pretty much sums up the entire weekend. They did so good and everyone loved loved loved them to pieces.
Sweet baby Kendall was such a doll baby, too!  Look at that red hair!  We all think Jolie and Kendall favor each other.. can for sure tell they are family.
The little cousins!  All girls.. with number 6 on the way due in November.  Another girl!

Jolie, Rayn, Kendall, Blaine, Parker
One of the many outtakes- but I actually love it!
And again.. with my baby spam. Fun with the push cars!  Clearly Parker was not having fun at all.
 Diva Baby.
She hates all the attention #hermothersdaughter
and Jolie's turn.  She wasn't too sure about all this.
The highlight of the weekend was the fact that the girls would be getting their first dip in the pool.  I ran inside to grab their suits/sunscreen/hats/floaties and came back out to a naked baby...

and her most important accessory.

//headbow//
faux hawk, anyone?  Finally she is no longer bald.
Dressed and ready!  Jordan is busy getting sister girl ready to go- sunscreen it up!
Doesn't she make you want to sit up straight?  Her posture is this way 100% of the time.  I've never seen this girl slouch.  Our pediatrician was super impressed with her stature.
First dip!

I LOOVVVEE SWIIMMing!
They splish splashed all over the place and screeched with excitement over the pool.  I was really nervous that they would be grouchy with the cool water, but I stood corrected!
// infant float //
 Fun with Dad!
Profile #1..
Profile #2.  You would think they were twins or something.
It was nap time.  Parks took advantage
Thumb in the mouth means 'I'm ready for a nap, Momma.'
Aunt Jenny taught swim lessons for babes a couple summers ago and practiced a few tricks with Parker.  Parker did suprisingly well with holding her breath and kicking her little legs.
Baby Kendall is a bit too little at 2 1/2 months, but it didn't stop her from showing off her precious suit!
Apparently we played musical hats this weekend..
 Honky Tonk Cheese
Daddy's ball cap
Woog's trucker hat {neon obsessed.}
Silly time with Jolie on the floor before dinner.  She LOVES to play bounce the horsey.  Such the rough houser!
 I love her giggles!
I was glad Aunt Veeca caught these special moments while me and my girl played. This is pretty much what our time together looks like on a regular basis.  No joke.
After dinner I harrassed BB and Poppa to take some pictures with their grandbabies.  They are 6 and 1/2 months old and we don't have any!

This one is my favorite!
 Love this one, too!
And with all three babes!
One last family shot!

Excuse the sans makeup and air-dried curls that I've got going on.  Not the best picture on the planet, but I'm thankful for each one of these people- and was the perfect way to end this weekend.

I ate my weight in watermelon, as promised.. I think there was an entire watermelon consumed each day we were there.  I may or may not have done more than my part on that.

I was super impressed with the girls and how they did with their regular routines in a not so regular place.  Good job girls, momma is super proud of ya.

I'm dying for a rewind button right about now..

Breaking with My Babes

It is Friday- AMEN for that.. am I right? Last night Jordan and I loaded the girls up (along with about 1/3 of our house- packing is insane for me PLUS the twins) and headed to Belton to visit Jordan's family.  Aunt Jenny and Bobby..and cousin Keith and his wife Charity came in town from out of state- so, we all made plans a couple months back to be on the lake this weekend!  None have met the girls just yet, or little miss Kendall, so the anticipation is up there for excitement.

Other plans for the weekend..
..introduce the girls to the pool for the first time (yeaaabuddy)
..eat our weight in watermelon..
..lay by the pool..
..more watermelon.. and a little smoked brisket..and maybe a stuffed jalapeno, or 10, 8, 4.

Just having four sounds much better to my waistline and the fact that I plan to be in a bathing suit all weekend.  Bathing Suits.  ugh.  We wont go there- I tried on about 7 of my 'pre-baby' suits while packing and lets just say I'm quite 'top-heavy' since having the twinsies.  THESE twins have grown substantially.  I almost took a picture but decided against- you could totally see the bloat from the peanut butter toast I had just eaten, and with the way too small top.. just a recipe for a disastrous photo-op.

I plan to take about 369563829 pictures this weekend that you'll all be able to enjoy as your computer screen floods with images of my littles.  More on that next week for sure.

While packing on Wednesday, me and the girls took a break from packing to be silly before it was time for oats/veggies and bathtime before bed.

Really these are pictures of Jolie.. and an incredibly distracted Parker Jane in the background.

Look over here bebe.
Parker?  Parker.. Parks! Hey girllll.. Parker.
Still no Parker. But a very cute blue-eyed Jolie Polie
Oh.  Heyyy seest.
Whats in your mouth.  Let me see whats in there.  Just trust me.

I forsee this to be exactly how it is when they are older.
Jolie = the boss; Parker = hiding under mom's feet
Hey!  Hey YOU girls!

Finally.

Helllooo beautiful babes!

Have a good weekend, friends!

Allow me to get back to my watermelon and sunshiny day on the lake:)
