Webb Wedding Weekend

The Webb Wedding!!!  Finally here! Oh my what a weekend.  So much hype for this day to come, and I have to admit I'm a little on the depressed side now that its over ;(  Looking at all the pictures has totally made my day, though.  Let's start with The Rehearsal on Friday.

Hailey's 'Something Borrowed' were the shoes I wore in my wedding 5 years ago.  I had written 'I <3 J.Massey' on the bottom, and so when she wore them I crossed out J.Massey and put J.Webb.  I was an extra special 'Something Borrowed' that only Hailey and I shared.

Reception
The GORGEOUS reception was at Castle Hill Country Club.  It was SO pretty and elegant.  LOVED every thing about it.  She did so well with all the details.

Bid Farewell to you Sweet Friends!! 

One of the best weddings I've been to, in the words.  I never knew a more fun crowd, dancing, singing, eating, and plenty of laughing!  What a great way to start their lives together, and I was so happy to be apart of it all.

Now, time for my complete devotion to my sweet, sweet SMashley.  So excited for her Wedding!!  April is coming quick!

Sunshine Dreamin'

Jordan and I just returned home from the most relaxing vacation ever.  I mean EVER.  Finally after two years of busy busy-ness.. College Graduation, Paramedic School, Dietetic Internship, and then studying and passing the RD exam..FINALLY- we can just be married again.    We celebrated with a trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico with our blessed friends, the Chuck and Chasity.

The two hour flight felt like two minutes.. catching up with one of my favorite fireman wifey.  Getting excited for the beautiful beach. 

We have arrived!  The gorgeous (All-Inclusive!!) resort, Riu Palace of Mexico.

The first full day (day 2) on the beach..Jordan made sure I took notice to every female without a top on.  I fell for it everytime he said "Look"

Night numero dos- we ate at the Japanese Restaurant.  Chasity tried sushi for the first time..and our firemen surprisingly were more excited about the sushi than I was!  You can't see it here but we are sitting under one of the most outstanding chandeliers I have ever seen.  Just beautiful.

 My hubby makes me glowing happy.  We were continuously called 'Newlyweds'..and I actually felt like we were, still so happy after 5 years.

 Day 4
No..it does not get old taking pictures of ourselves on the beach.  These next few pictures look like we were placed/edited into them!  The back drop is crystal blue and gorgeous.

We made sure to coordinate our outfits.. No really..I'm kidding.  Even though secretly, I think Jordan really does take pride in making sure our colors don't clash.  I take credit for that- taught him well.

 Dinnertime at the yummy Seafood Restaurant.  Delicious salmon and a scrumptious pumpkin and scallop soup I cannot wait to recreate for fall!

As you can see by J's face, we were so tired by the end of the week.  We didn't do a thing but lounge- we stayed on the resort and lived in our bathing suits. But still, the sun and sand can be draining!  One may think, 'What about all the excursions??' No thanks.. between honeymoon/cruises/trips, both the Collins and Massey's have done them all.  We decided early on that we weren't going for the sight seeing aspect of the Mexican country.  I couldn't have asked for better weather, better food (delish!), and better company.  Very much so a trip worth repeating..next summer. 

 Back to reality now.  Reality with the love of my life.  Glad to be home with my newlywed hubby tho. ;)

Creating a Webb

Time to celebrate!  Hailey is getting married super soon, and to kick off the countdown to the Big day we celebrated with a Girls Weekend to Austin.  (OH, how I absolutely LOVE Austin.)  Friday Hailey, LaDesnee, Leigh Ann, and myself headed down early to meet her sister (who lives there, lucky girl.) and prepare for the fun weekend ahead with great girls.

Dinner at Hula Hut on Town Lake.  Hal made sure to point out that I'm looking quite studious and 'dietitian- like' in my glasses.  At this point I had been an official RD for approximately one week :)

 The weather could not have been ANY more perfect.  Wow-What a view for a patio dinner. Sunshine and a beautiful 88 degrees.

 The next morning after a Chic-Fil-A 'brunch' we headed to the pool for some rays before checking into the hotel to get ready for the night ahead.  (We stayed with Brittany on Friday night.)

BEST Season of ALL.

And HUGE, is an under statement (..is that two words or one? Hmm..) For our 5 year wedding anniversary I was able to snag Jordan and I tickets to the last game of the pre-season for the Cowboys.  I personally was oober excited..I heart the Cowboys.  Quite possibly because I have fond memories of Sunday afternoons, lazy in my PJs and eating with Dad, his homemade Chili, sharing a sleeve of saltines.  I have carried this expectation into my marriage, where most Sunday afternoons are that way for us (except I make a mean tortilla soup!) during the greatest season of all.  FOOTball season.  So, on the night of our anniversary I proudly handed Jordan the tickets wrapped in a jersey.  To my dismay, he had a frown!  The boy would be hunting that week.  Nothing comes betweeen a boy, his dog, his rifle, and birds.  That is a specific reason why we did not get married in the later months of August, September, October, or November.   Jordan decided really early he didn't want to deal with an upset bride while the groom is missing their anniversary because he is heading out to the lease.  Which, in all reality, I don't mind his hobby, and wouldn't mind if he missed an anniversary or two.  So, J opted for the Bubba Hunt, and I decided.."I'M GOING without you."  :)

My first time at Cowboys Stadium.  It is HUGE.  Oh. My. Geez. 

 Since I couldn't take my Mr. Massey..I took my other favorite Massey- His dad :)

 For the Dieititan in me :)  I was very impressed to find deli sandwiches and a mini 'fruit stand' as options in the game food!! WOO!  Turkey Panini and a plum to go, please! :)

 Ahh..silver, white, and blue.  I heart you. AND Miles Austin on that jumbotron.  What a hottie.

Came home with a hoarse voice from screaming and yelling for these boys in the last quarter.  The pulled it out, ending the pre-season right with a win. 

A New Addition

No, no...no Massey baby.  I know that was your first thought :)  Trust me, baby time for the Massey's are sometime soon, but not at the moment!  Our new addition is my brother, Patrick!  Patrick finally decided to make the move back to Dallas and is living with Jordan and I while he is going to school and working, getting whatever support he needs from his sister and B-I-L.  I am super proud of him at the moment..

He moved here about a week ago..and started classes at Northlake College- he says he wants to be a teacher :)

 He got a job within a week of living here..and then got another job..to help save for a car..  Job numero uno-- STARBUCKS.  Suuuh-swweet!  The boy gets a pound of coffee each week, for free. 
Ahhh, Fall is near, which mean all the coffee I can drink to warm my belly :) 

Jordan was excited, too..he was set and ready for his morning Joe..the night before.

He is also set to start at Kroger next week.  Way to go, brother :)
