White Plum | Discount Code + Giveaway

I mentioned yesterday in and among my Christmas wish list about a few of my favorite things, and I decided to save the BEST for today.
Who is ready for a giveaway + discount code to one of my most favorite online boutiques - EVER.
ever, ever, ever.
Let me just express myself>> fleece lined leggings. WHY I have not hopped onto the fleece lined everything bandwagon is absolutely beyond me.  When White Plum sent me my first pair (in boring black), I ended up coming right back and getting 4 more pairs (wine {shown below}, charcoal, olive, & navy).  Why? Well, simply because I had surely missed the boat of fleece comfort education, and I'm tempted to trash all of my former favorites because of warmth and comfort that comes with 'fleece-lined' anything is superb.

Someone smarted off to me recently that fleece lined = looked thicker.
Negative. On all accounts.  I actually feel 'safer' with the inadvertent support these offer.  Sturdy and limited risk for the fabric run up the rear seam (wouldn't that be the worst?!  It is.  Trust me.)

While they have a vast array of basic pieces that I can wear a different way everyday of the week.. like their tunics are my absolute favorite to wear with (fleece lined?) leggings and boots. Remember my birthday?  Yep - White Plum from head to toe.  I even busted them out with a wedge peeptoe heel this fall when we hit a random 85 degree day.
As the winter season has come upon us - their cozy cardigans have really drawn me in.
This chunky one kept me warm for pizza and drinks on the patio last weekend, and this one is over the top classy - perfect for holiday parties.

Summer Favorites: The Lady

Summer. I know we are well on our way into August, but its still 108 here on any given day. But then again, we've been hitting a random 79 degrees (like today..). I have been living in a few key staples of clothing these last few months and had such a great response the last time I did something like this, so we are long overdue!

Loft Denim.  I own multiple pairs of jeans, shorts, skirts.. they all do great things for my bod.  I choose the Modern fit, but they also have the Julie fit (which sits higher on the waist).  The Modern Skinny in all wash shades are my favorite.  I've been bouncing between wearing the dark denim this season with brightly colored tops, and switching it up with the white denim.. again, with bright tops.  I feel like I have so much coral in my life right now.  I also have brought it into Parker and Jolie's life as well.

NOTE: Don't be afraid of the white denim.  These Loft skinnies give great shape and offer a fun detail to the pant leg with the side zipper.
While we are talking denim.. and Loft.. How amazing is this?

Just couldn't help myself.

Gap.  Gap you never let me down.  These Skinny Mini Skimmer Khakis (I have 4 pair) are my absolute favorite on this planet.  Gap always, always has a great sale, so when you can catch these discounted, go ahead and scoop up every single color.  Just do it. They fit true to size for me personally but the leg of the pant is very skinny.  I have what the technical term would call 'bird legs', so I would try these on for your self to decide if you need to size up or not.

Shorts.  3 inch. 4 inch. 6 inch.  Boyfriend.  High waist (NOT for this momma)
Which do you prefer??

For me its all about the 3inch chino.  My personal favorites come from Loft and J.Crew.  I can find a steal of a deal on these chino shorts at the factory story and not to mention that they are nearly always on sale.  I have a surreal love for sale items.

I bought these chino shorts from Loft last summer in every color they came in.  I worked there for like half a second 2 years ago (part time) and then realized I was working to feed my shopping habits for that place.

The Boyfriend shorts are another option to go with.  Longer in length, and looser fitting than the chino.  These are 100% NON-mom shorts.
..and then there is camo.

Just a little bonus of a few obsessions I may have right now.  I saw that MK bag while window shopping this last weekend.  I need a new 'MOM' bag.  I'm over the diaper bag.  holla if ya hear me?
When I figure out what mom bag I get, I plan to share what I actually mean when I say MOM bag.
That camo skirt, tho.  I need it in my life, like yesterday.  I'd totally throw this top with it..

..and these shoes.. {swoon}

..and what about my favorite scarf ever..?  I seriously wear scarves all year round, and this one is hands down my favorite.  It comes in every color you can think of.. but I think the green does something for this camp and orange combo, do you think? I'd throw this scarf in oxblood or the charcoal with that shirt dress above.
They are 2 for $38, so you technically can't just buy one.  They are amazing.  Trust.

Is it too early to start making my Christmas list?  I DO actually have an anniversary as well as a {30th} birthday before then.  I'll get to work on those.

WIWW: l o v e Sweater Weather

Well.  I thought sweater weather was for sure here to stay.  A persnickety Mother Nature had better plans of her own and slung temps up to the 80s over the weekend.

Good news is that more sweater weather is in the forecast- and I have a mean Crock Pot Taco Soup planned for this weekend- definitely welcoming the predicted 46 degrees.

Don't let me down, weather man.

I have a super obsession with a good chunky sweater.  Any kind, really- as long as its huge and bulky and keeps me warm.
Boyfriend cardigans are my favorite and I think this one is a distant cousin.  I originally abbreviated boyfriend sweater with BS.. and then I thought I should keep it PG.
I'll never forget the day I got this sweater.. I was 8 months pregnant and restricted to the bed.  But lets be honest- If I was allowed to move, I wouldn't have.  It was a breath-taking ordeal to simply roll over.

Anyway.

My sweet Mother-in-Law brought this sweater over as a hand-me-down from my sister-in-law in hopes that I would be interested in it before it went to the donation pile.  Well- ya!  I immediately put it on..and to my disappointment it wasn't quiet big enough.  Duh.

Why did I do that to myself?
Stay right there, Jolie.  Don't move.. no, Jolie!
Hurrrryyy
sweater / hand-me-down // necklace // trade show // undershirt / gap // skinny jeans / loft

Totally random story- but thats the one behind this sweater:) There isn't a tag, so I haven't a clue where it came from.  The pants are my 'go-to'  super skinny jean from LOFT this season.  LOVE them, and I don't ever wear black!  The undershirt- 11 months postpartum and I confess to still be wearing my maternity tops.  These are so good (and stretchy) for nursing!  Because they are maternity they retain their shape and don't get stretched out when its time to feed the girls.

Oh..and in case you forgot about those boots- they're back {almost everyday}

WIWW: Birthday Monies & Booties

"Hey, Jordan.. real quick- the girls are asleep... wait, don't turn off the truck.. lets take a quick outfit pic"

Which actually means: take 35964 pictures and I'll hate every single one of them only to reluctantly agree to hold off on number 35965 when the neighbor kids come barreling out of the garage next door.

Besides, I'm a little rusty because the last "What I Wore" post was like.. months ago.  Life has been busy.

Thats all I got.

Well, that.. and this new outfit courtesy of my birthday monies.   Don't you love birthday monies?  I do.  Especially when they coincide with a 50% off sale:)

In case you are wondering..  cut my hair.  Not completely on my own desire- but it had been nearly a decade (in technical hair-dresser time) since my last cut and color and a brief lapse in my prenatal vitamins caused serious damage to my ends.

I lost inches from breakage and it was terribly depressing.  Can I go back to the hair I had this time last year and 7 months pregnant?

Man my hair was good.  And long.

Don't stop taking your vitamins.  Just as a disclaimer.
But- its growing on me.  I've had my hair even shorter than this a time or two, and even though I want so badly for it to be long (serious contemplation of extensions. And then Jordan laughed in my face) I like it alright.
top // loft * jeans // loft * handbag // sseko designs * sunglasses // micheal kors * booties // clarks

Feeling pretty in this flowy top and skinny jeans.. and those booties (two seasons ago) are to die for.  We had just come off about 8 hours of church and then campus picnic..and I'm still not complaining!
When I know I have a full day- these are my go-to walking booties.

What about you?  Have any recs on some good 'not-so-mom' shoes/boots/heels?  I'm all ears!

WIWW: A Bold Pairing

Sometimes I go bold.  Bold with a funky shoe or fun hair accessory.  But then, I get real bold and pair bold onto bold.. and onto bold, again.

Take this outfit, for example.  Don't ask me what I was thinking when I put it together that morning, but it worked in my brain, and again on the hanger.. and I feel like it worked once I tried it on.

I had all but 4 minutes until I needed to walk out the door, so even if this outfit 'didn't work'.. it was going to have to for the next 8 hours or so while I was at work.

Hot fus.. pink (because I can never spell fuscia fusia fuschia correctly on the first go round..) crop pants
  • check. {LOFT} similar
  • Diagonally striped tank
  • check. {The Limited} last season
  • Bubble necklace
  • check. {Amazon}

  • I threw on my favorite go-to jacket (also from LOFT last season) to make the outfit complete.  I felt like a boyfriend cardi didn't do justice to my outfit choice- and the jacket gives my colored crops a professional feel appropriate for work.

I decided that by the end of the day I really liked the bold pairing of these pieces together.  Totally fun for the Spring season.
Fast decisions don't always turn out so smoothly- half the time I'm already at my destination when I realized that what I'm wearing isn't as fabulous as it looked in my mind, but this one was a lucky snap shot, courtesy of my half-brain:)

    WIWW: Nautical Red

When I grabbed these pants off of the clearance rack at LOFT a couple weeks back I was totally pumped while standing at the register.. They scanned to be only $8.99.

Eight Dollars and Change.  Totally my lucky day!  The tag was marked down, but not THAT low.  I was frantic to throw something else in my {pile} of clothes awaiting to make their home in my overstuffed closet.  I had justification because these pants were less than ten bucks.

Shortly after my quick spree through LOFT I came to realize this justification of my own is equivalent to that of many of my nutrition clients..

I'm gonna go ahead and get the larger sized fry because I'm drinking a Diet Coke

You wouldn't believe the amount of times I've heard that one.  It is not Diet Coke that randomly expands your waistline, my dear.  Its the fat in those fries.

Either way you justify- I got a pair of earrings in addition to these colored skinnies.
It took me just moments to figure out how I would pair this top.. my most favorite spring-y top in polka dots (also from LOFT- last season) .  The red and the navy kind of gives it a nautical feel, no?

Throw on some sandals or grey TOMS and I'm ready to set sail.
What I would give to be on a boat right now with my bestest and her hubby.. enjoying a nice bevi while basking in the rays.

Someone needs to buy me a boat.

Maybe it will be on sale.

Remember this dress?  Well, its you're lucky day.. eShakti has created a special discount code MSSYSPT exclusively for 3 Ladies & Their Gent readers to get 20% OFF when you shop at eShakti!  Now thats a deal:)

The SMALL Print: (*conditions apply) valid thru 04/30/13
Code has to be entered in the 'Privilege Discount' box.  No Minimum Order Value.  The discount code is not case sensitive.  The code can be used any number of times until the validity period. WIWW: With Spring Comes Showers

I got a pretty little package in the mail last week.  I love getting snail mail.  It is my most favorite ever.  This particular peice of snail mail was extra special, and came just in time!  I was contemplating on attire to wear to one of just about a bajillion baby showers I have on my calendar and it was like the fashion lords from above came down to solve my outfit confusion.

Ok. A little extreme?   Well.. I'm a little excited.

eShakti was so kind and allowed me to pick any item from their sweet site to review. I had never heard of them before, but when I got to their site it was really impressed with all that they had to offer. Being someone that is sort of a brand snob (hence my entire wardrobe being from Loft and a few other places in between) I was excited to find that a lot of their clothing was something I would wear on the regular.

Now.. I know my size and I know how things from certain places  (cough**Loft**cough) fit me, so I am completely comfortable ordering something online without trying it on.  I almost prefer online shopping these days.  Half the time I wont try something on in the store out of pure laziness.  I LOVE shopping, but really dispise trying on... plus why shop in public when I can do so with my dirty hair in a top knot, sans makeup, and sweat pants.

    True story.
But- ording from an online shop that I've never shopped with before? Not so sure about this one.  Alas, another plus to this online clothing shop.  Their website offers regular sizing, as well as customization for women size 0 through 36. You can customize anything, through their easy 3-step design and fit page.

So, thats just what I did, and it was SO easy:) My biggest problem is finding something that fits me well everywhere, not just some places.  Sometimes it is too big in the neck..other times the arms are too tight or too lose.. and length- the most annoying at all.  I have made mention that I really love my maternity tops (still!) because of their longer length..

..and pants.. that's a whole other rant to be told.

I chose this gorgeous shift dress to review.  I love the neck tie details and the multi colors- these colors scream Spring time, and what better time to wear it than now with the approach of warmer weather.

Excuse Daphnee's bootie in the background.  Jordan had just given her a chew bone and she was a little excited and all up in my business.

Thank you eShakti for introducing me to your brand.  I'll for sure be making another browse through for purchase soon!
Hmm.. this dress would be a great dress paired with these shoes.. or these shoes..actually, I really need these shoes. I'll throw it with this cardigan.

I do believe I'm all set for Easter Sunday.

WIWW: Showing (& Sharing) Some Skin (Special Offer!)

Sickness has overcome the Massey house.  Hence my little blogging hiatus.  It started a week ago with an annoying scratchy throat and by Thursday both Jordan and I had something of a terrible cough and congestion.

Baby girls steered clear of anything we had, though- thank you, Jesus.  I can leave it to Texas weather to stir up the worst of allergies in me.  This week it will be 80 degrees.. but when I took this picture for our date night- it was about 50 with a wind chill of like 30.

No wonder I've felt horrible.  Okay.  Enough of my pity party..

Many have asked about my skin care routine.. This it is so flattering, but so funny to me because I really don't have one at all.  I have had terrible skin my entire life and have tried numerous skin care regimens.  I trust the 'name brands' to do good things for my face and complexion and will pretty much use anything if it promises to clear my breakouts, fight dry skin, shrink my pores, lighten my dark spots.. blah, blah, blah..

You get it, right?  My lack of a skin care regimen is probably half my problem.  My skin is so freaked out!

About a month ago I had an opportunity to try the full line of Mary Kay TimeWise Miracle Set.  I have alwasy thought of MK to be something my mom and grandmother always used.  I was surprised at all the changes that have been made since I was first introduced to it.

To be honest the extent of my experience with Mary Kay in the past was sneaking into my mom's vanity drawer to use her night cream when I was 13 years old.  I know, right?

So, here I am again with yet another facial product to try out on this skin of mine.  What the heck.

In the first week I noticed some breakouts on my chin and cheeks, as well as my forehead, but after using it for a month now I can see the true results.  The pores on my nose and cheeks (always trouble areas for me) are so small and cleared up!  The dark spots on my cheeks have started to lighten (trouble with tanning beds and acne scars.. even if I didn't have hardly any, those dark spots showed heavily after getting out of that bed!  Such a mistake!)

If I was bold enough to share a sans-makeup picture with you, I would.. actually I had intentions to, and forgot. For now, you can take my word for it- This stuff id great, and it's not just for your mom and grandma any more!
    sweat shirt / J Crew * undershirt / gap * jeans / William Rast
scarf / world market (gift) * shoes / borrowed - again! (thanks to my girl, Jenn G!)

I'm excited to say that my favorite Mary Kay consultant, Lara, is offering a special for my 3 Ladies readers.

Between now and Sunday, March 17th, you can purchase the TimeWise Miracle Set at a $15 discount with free shipping right to your door. If you decide to try the TimeWise Repair set, which includes retinol and more for the advanced signs of aging, she will give it to you for $30 off.  Order by Friday, March 15th and she will send you a little something extra special in your package- for free:)  Mary Kay offers a 100% guarantee.  If you are unhappy at all, it is a simple request for a refund.

WIWW: My Heart{s} On My Sleeve

This week's What I Wore Wednesday is probably my favorite outfit to date.

Often times I will see an outfit (a really cute one!) on Pinterest, save it to my 'Delighted Shopper' board, and never come back to it.  Such a shame. Crying, actually.  I think I would save so much time if I could just whip out my pin-board for inspiration.. 'pin-spiration!  That's what it is there for, right?

Here is a recent pin I found interesting enough to save to my board:

Quite a unique way of layering, if you ask me.

    So, my outfit was born.
My best impression of the 'pin' picture.  Can we talk about how many of you have never been introduced to the glorious Sam Moon?  Let's take a moment to thank me for officially changing your life.  I've been going to Sam Moon for years!
I love this outfit.. same in theory, but still pretty different from the original.

The grey button down is another Christmas wish-list blouse that the hubby went right out and purchased for giving.  I have contemplated over in my brain how I wanted to wear it.  It is light, comfortable, and a great length; all good things for layering.  After getting used to the longer length of my maternity tops, I've had trouble transitioning back to some of my non-maternity blouses.

Am I the only one with this trouble?  I confess to continue to wear a handful of my tank tops and a long sleeve shirt from Gap Maternity.  I only wear them at home,  but they are my favorite!!  I can't stop, wont stop.

     blouse // loft * tank // express * jacket // loft
jeans // william rast * pumps // nine west
    necklace // sam moon * bracelet // loft * watch // fossil
The weather has been so random here lately.  It was 75 over the weekend and by Monday it was in the 50's with a wind chill making it feel like it was 35 degrees.

Texas weather is perfect for this kind of outfit.  Layering is a must for chilly mornings and mild afternoons.

I so badly wanted to crop this last picture to hide my jean scrunch.  My heels were sinking into the grass!  I think it is time to change the scene for the WIWW pictures...

Thanks so, SO much for all the sweet comments and emails.  I am continually humbled and impressed by the kindness of complete strangers.  I.Love.It.

    Period.
