Parker & Jolie's Milk + Cookies Party

We LOVE cookies over here.  Truth be told, we probably LOVE milk even more.  After their 2nd birthday Pancakes and Pajamas party, and the second year in a row to host a birthday party first thing in the morning, I decided that an afternoon party would be next.  The most fun part about the twins' birthday being in December and during the holiday season is that I can kind of mix and match the party theme into our christmas decor.
Last year we had a pink and purple tree...
When I told Jordan my vision for the year's birthday party - to be a more Christmas-y theme with red,  white, brown, and mustard - he was over the moon:)
This year was SO MUCH FUN- the twins talked about their birthday time for weeks leading up to their party.  I was so excited for them!
Cookies Cookies Cookies!!  With an afternoon party, I kept it simple on the food front- appetizer foods, but the best and most delicious component of the party-
the cookies

the milk
strawberry + original + chocolate
I wrapped the glass canisters in lace and linen ribbon and bought single flowers to accessorize.

the food
spinach  + artichoke dip with grilled ciabatta
hot ham + cheese sliders
fruit
bbq meatballs
The only thing that was 'homemade' (if you want to call frozen meatballs + bbq sauce + chili sauce homemade) was the meatballs.  I had the rest of the food catered by Market Street (for much cheaper and easier than to make it myself) and Jordan picked it up on the day of the party.

the cake
semi-naked cookie dough cake with cookie butter filling and salted caramel drizzle.
yes.  you read that correctly.

This year the girls are at an age when their party can be more than cake and presents.  The weather was beautiful!  So we had a cookie decorating station for all the kiddos.
It was a hit!
We decorated sugar cookies- christmas trees, teddy bears, and milk bottles.

It was SO much fun for everyone- and I loved watching my girls and their sweet little friends busy at work decorating (and eating) their beautiful cookie masterpieces.
happy birthday to Parker + Jolie

presents

I was completely overwhelmed to tears with how loved my girls are.
Everyone that was able to come and celebrate their third year of life was so gracious!
Happy Birthday to by beautiful girls!
If anyone gets a sweet tooth and needs a cookie- we are still eating them a week later:)

you throw such incredible parties! You never miss a single detail and it's the little things! Basically I have all the heart eyes for your creativity and for being such a sweet mama! Also, I have been following your blog for over a year now (I just realized I think it was through a pin to the twins birthday last year that I found your blog!) and I have never asked, but where is your outdoor table from? it's so cute!

I love everything about how you style your beautiful girls! could I ask what brand/shop the vests were from on groopdealz? They're obviously not available there anymore but I'm on the hunt!

Beautiful party! How do you keep the milk cold? Do you take the jugs out before or do u just let them sit out the whole time?

MrsPacMan- thank you! I actually put an ice pack in the bottom of the milk canisters to keep them cold (enough). I set them out right as the party started.
