When I envisioned Baker's nursery coming together, I never thought in my wildest dreams it would become what it is. To be honest- her room is my favorite room in the house.
I could sit in it all day long.
When I found out I was having another little girl, I began dreaming, pinning, and thinking about how I wanted her nursery to be. I didn't get to do all this planning/nesting/shopping with the twin pregnancy.. their nursery randomly came together while on the thrones of bed rest. I ordered things online thinking and hoping it would all 'work' together. This go round I was excited at the thoughts of bringing my ideas for her room to life - but really being able to have a first hand into creating it from scratch. I have a love for all things vintage, and any time I searched for themes and nursery ideas with that in mind, the French Vintage theme kept popping up. I wanted it to be 'girly' for this little princess, but with a touch of the vintage side her mama loves so much. With that theme in mind, the pieces just kept coming together as the months of planning went on.
The room 'construction' began with the love of a reclaimed wood wall and ended with her name in handwritten calligraphy hung above Jordan's 33 year old 'vintage' crib.
After searching for the perfect crib, I was set on a wrought iron of some sort.. until we realized how much they cost, and then decided to take a different route. Bree (BB aka Jordan's mom) had casually mentioned that she had held onto Jordan's crib for the last 33 years. I immediately looked into how we could re-use it for our sweet baby girl. It was easier than I thought to have it rebuilt to safety standards and repainted to match the theme of her room. After seeing it put together, the thoughts of a sleeping Baker in that bed flooded my mind.
It was perfect and had so much sentimental value tied to it.
With touches of rose, gold, coral, and cream her room came to life.
