We Eat | Turkey Dogs & Cheesy Cheddar Scramble

Breakfast {food} for dinner.  Yes please!  We are one to pull out the waffle maker at least once a month to whip up some fluffy cakes with syrup filled pockets.  And lets be real for a second.  Eggs aren't just a breakfast food.  I can pretty much eat a veggie omelet any time of the day.

It took a couple times of offering eggs to the girls before they would actually take more than three bites. Then randomly Jolie swiped a handful of eggs off my plate one afternoon at brunch and the rest was history.  The girl loves eggs.

When thinking of something other than pork sausage or bacon to offer my girls..
..something on the healthier side..
Turkey dogs.  Nitrate and chemical preservative free!
Low in fat, too.
I like these by Applegate Farms.  Picked 'em up at Target.

Turkey Dogs
Cheesy Cheddar Scramble

3 whole eggs
splash of whole milk (we buy organic)
pinch of salt
pinch of black pepper
2 turkey dogs, sliced
1/4 cup shredded whole milk cheddar cheese

Whip first 4 ingredients in a small mixing bowl and pour into a heated pan coated in canola cooking spray.  Allow to cook, stirring with a rubber spatula to scramble.  Once eggs are soft cooked, throw in your sliced hot dogs and sprinkle with shredded cheese.  Continue to warm until cheese is melted and eggs are fully cooked.
In less than 10 minutes dinner is served!
I often save this quick dinner for busy evenings and I need to get something in their bellies quickly before we head out the door.

We aren't far from introducing utensils to Parker and Jolie.
They absolutely despise getting their hands dirty.

Love that little profile.

Many have asked for a detailed post regarding meal planning for my little birds and I promise it is coming.  I am still compiling a list and will get it up for your viewing pleasure soon!

Also- if you ask a question without an email attached to your name, (no-reply comment blogger) I can't respond!  I feel terrible when their is a question and I am unable to respond.  Feel free to email me or leave a comment with an email attached to your name with any questions you have.

Style Shoot | Sprinkled with LOVE

I LOVE Valentine’s Day.  Like.. almost as much as I love Christmas.  I said almost, people.

Now.. a Valentine's Day inspired style shoot?  That knocks my socks right off.  Yes please!  These types of shoots are all the rage these days and I was pleased to be welcomed to be apart of a special collaboration with the talented Michelle Standerfer Photography, Event Stylist and Planner Ashley Dunaway, and Jordan Dunaway of Charmed Vintage Rentals.  The Sprinkled with Love Style Shoot was in full planning mode.

What do you have for the girls in anything pink.

What...?

Sadly I am sort-a-kinda anti pink.  Don't get me wrong- I love pink- love to wear it myself!  But I have found that I pick up everything else besides that color when I'm shopping for the girls.  I guess because everything is always that 'baby pink'.. and I confess to not be the biggest fan ever.

Thankful for their skinny little booties- I dug out these precious bloomers that I ordered off Etsy while laid up on bed rest with a belly the size of a watermelon.. and I had 4 months to go until Parker and Jolie were ready to come off the vine.

Do you recognize these bloomers from this photoshoot?  Throwin' it back.

Styled perfection.  How they come up with this stuff is beyond any creativity cell in my brain.

It took my entire being to hold back from taking a bite of one (or all..) of those cuppycakes and washing it down with red drink through a twisty straw.

Puppy made an appearance.. duh.

Not really into it.
until..

Well, hello lollipop!  There is a first time for everything, I suppose.

After this amazing and super fun shoot I was dead set on finding the perfect Valentine's Day card to send out to family and close friends.

I have recently spent entirely too much time on Shutterfly working on Parker and Jolie's 'Year ONE' books {post to come on those details) and came across a part of their family brands called Tiny Prints.  After I got a 'Happy New Year' card in the mail (that was amazing, btw) from Jordan's Aunt which she had ordered from Tiny Prints I thought- surely its worth checking out.

Worth checking out?  TOTALLY.  On top of the gazillion super precious pictures that Michelle shared with me, Tiny Prints has bunches of adorable Valentine's Day Card options to choose from.

I could hardly make up my mind.

A few of my favorites..

I loved the multi-picture options to include some of the styled photos.

The ultimate decision was made when I came across this simple, festive, and full of pink card:

Happy Love Day, friends!

Special thank you to:

Canvas Wall | Giveaway

The playroom is a project we talk about often (like, really often).
I'm ready to get my living room back (like, really ready).

We have great plans for a reading nook, kid chairs, teepees, a chalkboard wall.  A canvas wall was something I always wanted to do.. and didn't really know where to put it for the wall space it required.  The playroom was the perfect place!!  The plus is that the canvas wall can be seen from the hall, so some of my favorite pictures, and quickly my favorite wall, in the house isn't hidden.

Thanks to Canvas On Demand and Groupon I did this wall the right way- within our budget.  (sweet!)

Jordan's mom got this Bible verse canvas for Jordan for Christmas.  We both love this verse.. its Jordan's 'life verse' so to speak.

I'm totally in love with this wall.  Period.
But the room was still missing something.

About a week ago, sweet Miss Jenna James emailed me.  Her email couldn't have come at a better time!  I have been searching for some fun/girly {digital} prints to post in the playroom and her etsy shop, Southern Spruce (um- love that name!), is the cutest!  Just what I've been searching for.

A little about the designer: Jenna is a 28 year old woman who loves to create, design and thrift!
A marketing manager for a manufacturing company by day, and a graphic designer by night.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and then moved to North Carolina when she and her cutie hubby got married.
She's a momma of two pups, Goose and Lewis, and the wife to a great husband who supports her creative wild side.

When I browsed Jenna's shop, I fell in love with all of them!  I ultimately decided to get this one and this one. Perfect and just girlie enough.

I put them in these frames that my mother in law made for us for Christmas last year.  She's got talent.  I've harassed her to offer it up to sell to the public.  I think she's about 85% there.
These hang perfectly on the opposing wall.  Gave balance to the room.

Even though this is as far as we've gotten with the playroom- this little 'project' was perfect motivation to get a move on!  I'll keep you posted:)

Jenna has been generous enough to offer up a  {digital} print to giveaway to a lucky reader!  Visit Jenna's shop and come back to comment below on which you would pick!  Contest will run through Friday and winner will be announced on Monday!

Jenna is also offering a coupon code for my readers: 20OFF, which is 20% off your purchase. Valid until February 10th.

Where will you use your print?  Good luck!
